    Duke & NC

Can't wait to see this one. Best rivarly in college basketball. Does anyone know what time the game starts? These two teams always go after each other. I hope Duke can pull this one out because they haven't been playing that good. It would be nice to come away with a road win.

    Re: Duke & NC

Coach K discussed how they had been playing after the fsu game on XM saturday. He said that they were just worn out from the hectic schedule they had the past 2 weeks but that they would be fine and be rested and ready for unc tonight.
4 conference games in 7 days 2 on the road during the week at night one @ 7:00 p.m. the other @ 9:00 p.m. You can understand them being tired when you throw classes and practice in there especially Coach K's 6:00 am practices that he has.

    Re: Duke & NC

Sadly, I believe that Duke will win and win big. The reason so is because, first of all, UNC will more than likely be starting 3 freshmen. Second, the Heels have no one,IMO, who can bring the ball up the court, with the exception of Noel, against that relentless full court press by the Blue Devils. And they way the Heels have been turning the ball over as of late, it doesnt look good for them. And third, the Heels have no one inside, other than Hansbrough,to help with scoring, rebounding and defending Shewill. Do I believe the Heels can win....yes they can, but they would have to play lights out, mistake free basketball.

    Re: Duke & NC

It's at the Dean Dome, which worries me. What worries me even worse, despite exhaustion from last week's hectic schedule as TheBeast pointed out, is how close they've played teams that they should be blowing out by 20+. If they can put together an entire game and play to their potential, they'll run UNC out of their own building. If they decide to back off and not run, or the shots aren't falling, then Duke needs to watch out. IMO, the players to watch will be Ginyard, Green, & Frasor for UNC. If they make shots and play good D, then it will be close. If they turn the ball over and let JJ, Paulus, & Nelson run all over them then it will be a blowout. I think that Terry & Dockery are a wash at the point--it's possible Duke has the advantage due to less TO's with Dock, but if Dock doesn't shoot the ball like he's capable then we'll be hurting.

On the inside, Noel always hurts Duke, no matter who's in there or who is or isn't helping him down low. Hopefully Shelden can play solid D like he did on May last year against Noel (and yes I know May's games and stat lines against Duke last year, but Shelden's were just as impressive and he did play good D for the most part). McRoberts has owned Hansbrough through HS in the all-star games & camps, and it will be interesting to see if that trend continues into college, seeing as how Hansbrough is probably the freshman of the year in the nation and McRoberts has underachieved thus far.

I'm saying Duke by 8, in a game closer than the final margin.
